چکیده

Fowl adenovirus (FAdV) is the primary agent of inclusion body hepatitis (IBH) in poultry and caused serious economic impact due to high mortality poor productivity. To date, clinical cases IBH chickens increases over years Malaysia, thus, an effective local vaccine control disease outbreak dire need. The objective study was determine efficacy live attenuated FAdV serotype 8b isolate, UPM1137CEL35, specific-pathogen-free chickens. Attenuated isolate UPM1137CEL35 conferred full protection against virulent UPM11134 vaccinated Neither signs nor were recorded all groups. However, challenged unvaccinated group, showed weakness, reduced feed consumption, lateral recumbency at day 4 7 postchallenge. Additionally, weight low significantly (p<0.05) compared Upon necropsy, liver from group pale peripheral bilateral lobes with presence focal lymphoid aggregation microscopically, while, groups normal without significant changes. All protected manifestations antibody response group. It concluded that has a potential be used as Malaysian isolates.

Regulation of T lymphocyte subpopulations in specific pathogen-free chickens following experimental fowl adenovirus-ⅧVIII infection

Two-day-old specific pathogen-free (SPF) chickens were divided into two groups. Group I was inoculated orally with fowl adenovirus Ⅷ (FAV-Ⅷ). Group II served as a negative control. Chickens were investigated at various days post-inoculation (dpi) by flow cytometric analysis for changes in T lymphocyte subpopulations in immune system and blood. In the thymus, CD3(+)T lymphocytes were increased a...

Fowl Adenovirus Serotype 4 SD0828 Infections Causes High Mortality Rate and Cytokine Levels in Specific Pathogen-Free Chickens Compared to Ducks

Hydropericardium syndrome and inclusion body hepatitis, together called hydropericardium-hepatitis syndrome, are acute infectious diseases found in chickens. These diseases are caused primarily by fowl adenovirus serotype 4 (FAdV-4) strains. In this study, we isolated a FAdV-4 strain (SD0828) from clinically diseased chickens and phylogenetically analyzed the L1 loops of the hexon protein seque...

Evaluation of protective efficacy of live attenuated Salmonella enterica serovar Gallinarum vaccine strains against fowl typhoid in chickens.

Salmonella enterica serovar Gallinarum is the etiological agent of fowl typhoid, which constitutes a considerable economic problem for poultry growers in developing countries. The vaccination of chickens seems to be the most effective strategy to control the disease in those areas. We constructed S. Gallinarum strains with a deletion of the global regulatory gene fur and evaluated their virulen...

Genome Sequence of a Fowl Adenovirus Serotype 4 Strain Lethal to Chickens, Isolated from China

We report here the complete genome sequence of virulent fowl adenovirus serotype 4 strain HB1510, isolated from a diseased chicken with hydropericardium-hepatitis syndrome in Hubei, China, in 2015. The viral genome is 43,721 bp long, and sequence analysis showed an 11-amino-acid deletion in open reading frame 29 (ORF29).

Pathogenicity and Cytokine Gene Expression Pattern of a Serotype 4 Fowl Adenovirus Isolate

Hydropericardium-hepatitis syndrome (HHS), a recently emerged disease of chickens, is caused by some strains of fowl adenovirus serotype 4 (FAdV-4). In this study, a Canadian FAdV-4 isolate, designated as FAdV-4 ON1, was evaluated for pathogenicity after oral and intramuscular (im) infection of specific pathogen free (SPF) chickens. Pathogenicity was evaluated by observation of clinical signs a...
